We employ staff at KARRS Soccer School who thrive on their job and enjoy bringing the best out of the children we work with. We like to see the children leave our sessions with a smile on their face having had the best hour of their week. Below you will find details of our coaches such as qualifications and interests.
Steve Wood, Head Coach. Steve has been in football coaching for almost 10 years, having coached local youth football teams at under 9, under 10 and under 13 age groups. Steve enjoys seeing children develop from "I can"t do this" attitude to "That was easy" attitude. Steve has Emergency aid training as well as a safeguarding children certificate. A full enhanced CRB is accompanied with his FA Level 1 and 2 football coaching badges. Steve also played amateur football and enjoyed promotion and cup finals in his time as a defender.
Rob Taylor, Senior Coach. Rob enjoys working with the children and his positive and vibrant nature quickly developes a good relationship with the children. Rob has vast experience of coaching in various soccer clubs and has worked in America. Rob enjoys cycling, regular visits to the gym and is a keen Arsenal fan. Rob will be running our new courses in Ilford and Waltham Abbey.
Harry Doyle, Coach, Harry enjoys many sports such as football and boxing and is a boxing coach in his local community. Harry is a YMCA Level 2 Fitness Instructor and an A-Level in P.E. Harry is learning quickly how we do things and is rapidly building a relationship with the children and getting involved with the coaching and arranging our small small sided games.
James Sopher, Senior Coach. James is a keen chef during his time away from the coaching but likes nothing more than coaching the children and helping them develop their skills and confidence. A popular figure amongst our younger children James also runs a local school football team in his spare time. James has passed his FA Level 1 coaching badge and is currently studying for his level 2.
Liam Weller, Trainee Coach, Liam has only been with us a short time but has quickly show a keen attitude and has built a good rapport with the children. Liam is currently studying sports science at a local college and is soon to start his coaching badges to enable him to have a more hands on role with us.
